For the first 19 years of my career, I had the privilege of practicing immigration law in two of the largest general practice law firms in the United States. I then spent the next five years as a partner with the world’s largest immigration law firm. In 2003, I founded Banta Immigration Law to combine the highest standards of performance and service I learned at those firms with the efficiencies of a single-office boutique firm. With immigration law as our sole focus, BIL can devote all of our resources to being in the vanguard of immigration law expertise and to providing exceptional client service and results.
Banta Immigration Law is here to provide our clients the most effective and comprehensive solutions to your immigration needs. We also welcome inquiries from prospective employees wishing to work in an environment dedicated to excellence and exceptional service in immigration law.

Most of BIL’s personnel are bilingual, providing a value-added component to facilitate communications with your organization’s diverse employee population.
BIL offers billing arrangements other than traditional hourly billing. We generally perform our immigration services on a flat fee or transaction basis, allowing our clients to know and control their costs up front and enabling BIL’s personnel to remain focused on what is best for our clients.
As consultative partners to your business, BIL leads in the strategic planning through process development and execution of your immigration needs. Our focused immigration expertise allows for a thorough assessment and presentation of immigration options to best fulfill your business objectives.
BIL doesn’t just talk about client satisfaction. We seek input from our clients on how we can serve them better. We keep our clients abreast of important changes in the law and policies. We recommend changes to clients’ internal procedures to enable them to handle their immigration matters more efficiently while maximizing compliance with government immigration requirements and practices.
BIL maintains significant relationships within the Government immigration agencies and the U.S. Congress to help provide assistance in appropriate cases. A number of the country’s largest law firms rely on BIL as their referral resource for their clients’ immigration needs. These reciprocal relationships expand BIL’s regional, national and global presence in a cooperative business framework.
